Reflections
At the end of the year, we like to look back and reflect on all that we managed to squeeze into the last 365 (366!) days. Time goes by so quickly, and sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate the things we have accomplished for our customers. So, without further ado, here are the things we’re most proud of from 2024!
- We shipped a new product – Archive Accelerator Legal Hold Manager – which uses Veritas Discovery Accelerator (DA) to place holds on data stored in Enterprise Vault archives. With this streamlined integration, cases created with Legal Hold Manager can also be managed through DA.
What’s exciting is that Legal Hold Manager provides an API into Veritas Discovery Accelerator for integration with third-party legal hold software or a customer’s own internal automation. This maximizes efficiency and allows for the customer to continue using existing applications and processes!
- We made significant improvements to the Enterprise Search application to make it mobile-friendly, focusing on the ease and convenience of our end users.
- This year, we engaged in more significant projects with new and existing customers:
- We helped companies move their Enterprise Vault environment to Azure as part of their strategic plan to move as much of their infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud. As part of that, we reduced the number of EV and SQL servers.
- We provided our well-known and loved customer service and support experience by augmenting eDiscovery staff to help with searches using Discovery Accelerator.
- We served as subject matter experts on migrations – regardless of the software being used.
- We enhanced our software, enabling customers to easily migrate from one EV environment to another, even if they’re in completely different domains and or networks.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to help our customers migrate to Microsoft 365 while continuing to support our Enterprise Vault customers fully.
Our suite of Archive Accelerator products has long been a staple for Enterprise Vault users, and products like Archive Accelerator for NFS and Enterprise Search will continue to be key elements for users in the Enterprise Vault world. In addition to products like Restore and Enterprise Search already in use, we are building fresh, cloud-native applications, including versions of our existing products, to support those already using or migrating to Microsoft 365.
And, although Veritas has split into two separate companies, that will not change the products and support we provide for Enterprise Vault users. We will be working with Arctera moving forward, the organization where Enterprise Vault now resides.
Whether you’re using Enterprise Vault or Microsoft 365, we look forward to helping you manage your data in 2025.
